folded flowers

folded flowers is a duo of seating objects inspired by floral structures, organic forms, and my personal roots. The pouf ljiljan (Lilium bosniacum) and the beanbag zumbul (Hyacinthus) reference flowers that are closely connected to Bosnian culture and my own history. Drawing on floral silhouettes, deliberate folds, and textile manipulation techniques such as smocking and quilting, the two objects transform botanical forms into enlarged, functional objects made from cotton canvas. Together, they combine symbolism, craftsmanship, and functional design with an autobiographical narrative.
